Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that the current conflict between Israel and Iran goes beyond a regional confrontation, describing it as a turning point for the world. Speaking on Thursday during an interview with Israeli broadcaster Kan, he stressed that Israel is determined to continue its strikes against Iran’s nuclear and missile infrastructure.
“I said that we’re changing the face of the Middle East, and now I say we’re changing the face of the world,” Netanyahu declared, adding that Israel is ahead of schedule in targeting Iranian sites, though he refused to reveal how long the war would last.
“We are at war. I’m not going to reveal our timeline. I’m not going to tell them (the Iranians) what we’re preparing,” he said. “When you enter a war, you know when it begins, but not when it ends.”

Netanyahu also visited Soroka Hospital in Be’er Sheva after a missile strike, allegedly launched by Iranian proxies, hit the facility and nearby civilian areas in central Israel. While touring the site with Health Minister and Deputy Minister Almog Cohen, he condemned the attack and accused Iran of deliberately targeting civilians.
“We accurately hit nuclear targets and missile targets, and they hit a hospital, where people can’t even get up and run away,” he said. He emphasized the stark difference between Israeli military precision and what he described as indiscriminate violence by Iran and its allies.
“They are harming… a children’s and infants’ ward. That’s the whole difference in a democracy that acts according to the law… against these murderers who want to destroy each and every one of us. Every single one of us. Down to the last one of us. I think that says it all,” Netanyahu said.
