Two friends, Israel and Charles who are witnesses of the fire speaking to CNN said they had to run away from the battel of a lifetime. Charles said they gave their best trying to fight the fire, which they lost, and had to be grateful they made it out alive.

“We’re just trying to get out of there as fast as we can by then because it — that junk is bunk, dude.
”We gave it our all, and also we stayed there way longer than anyone should have and still lost.
I feel like we fought a losing battle, but we fought it, and I’m glad we made it out alive,” Israel told CNN.
The fire spread in five areas, Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, Lidia and Sunset, and has been termed the most destructive fire in the history of Los Angeles.
