We Spent Eight Times More on Experience 2024 ~ Pastor Adefarasin
The senior pastor of House on the Rock Church, Paul Adefarasin, has disclosed that the church spent eight times more to organize this year’s Experience concert due to the naira’s depreciation.
He shared this during a press briefing before the popular gospel music event, held on Friday night in Lagos.
Highlighting the tough economic situation, Adefarasin said:
“The Nigerian economy is getting tougher; it takes someone who believes in God to organise this. What we spent last year is now eight times that amount this year because of the naira depreciation.”
Reflecting on the concert’s journey, he added:
“For 19 remarkable years, we have gathered—under the open skies of Tafawa Balewa Square and in countless homes across the world—to partake in a divine encounter. THE EXPERIENCE has transcended its beginnings as a local gathering, growing into a global phenomenon that bears witness to the unfailing faithfulness of God.”

Adefarasin described the event as more than a concert, calling it a spiritual movement. He stressed that despite changing themes, the focus has always been on Jesus Christ.

This year’s edition featured top Nigerian and international gospel artists, offering inspiring performances that reinforced the event’s global appeal.
