A day after a video showing Nollywood actress Regina Daniels crying and surrounded by men at night circulated online, Senator Ned Nwoko has issued a public response denying claims that he sent thugs to assault her and her brother.
The clip, widely shared on social media, shows Regina crying and saying, “In Ned Nwoko’s house I am nothing, in my house I am a queen, I can’t stand the violence it’s too much.”
Her brother later posted angrily on Instagram, accusing the senator of beating his sister and sending men after them. Social media users reacted strongly to the footage and the sibling’s posts.

In a statement published on his Facebook page, Nwoko said the viral account is false and portrayed the incident as part of “unprovoked carnage and rampage” by Regina in his home while he was away. He wrote that, in his absence, she allegedly attacked staff, damaged property including cars and windows, and threatened to kill the resident nurse who caught her with drugs. He also said he had taken their child, Moon, to hospital.
The Senator described Regina as struggling with “drugs and alcohol abuse,” and urged that she continue with a rehabilitation programme (ideally in Asokoro or abroad–Jordan) where, he said, she would not have access to suppliers he named in the post. He insisted other wives had never accused him of violence and explained that his call for rehab is a concern for her safety.
Ned Nwoko’s named Sammy, Regina’s brother, who has been making posts online threatening to deal with Ned Nwoko and one other “tiny evil devil called Ann” as those supplying drugs to Regina.
