Controversial singer Portable has rejected a ₦100 million offer to engage in a physical fight with online critic VeryDarkMan (VDM). The singer says he won’t step into a ring with VDM unless he’s paid a whopping ₦1 billion.
The tension between Portable, whose real name is Habeeb Okikiola, and VeryDarkMan, whose real name is Martins Otse, has been brewing for days.
It all started after Portable slammed VDM for criticizing President Bola Tinubu’s government. In the video, he insulted VDM, also allegedly calling his mom a prostitute.
VDM retaliated by releasing a song where he called Portable “ole,” a thief who allegedly stole a keke (tricycle).

Since then, the two have been throwing shots at each other online. Diss tracks, insults, and wild rants have become their daily exchange, drawing the attention of fans and followers on both sides.
In a recent viral video, Portable made it clear he wasn’t interested in anything less than a billion naira. According to him, ₦100 million isn’t even impressive because his fans regularly gift him that much.
“₦100 million is small. My fans give me that already,” Portable said. “If they really want me to fight VeryDarkMan, let them bring ₦1 billion. I will beat him.”
He added, “You people can’t even hold him or jail him, and now you want me to fight him?”
The video has sparked a lot of reactions online, with some calling it a publicity stunt and others wondering if such a fight would ever actually happen, considering their size.
Recall that Portable had engaged in a fight with singer Speed Darlington and won.
