A United States missionary Judd Saul has accuded the the Nigerian government of complicity in the Benue massacre by Fulani marauders some months ago.
This is coming after U.S. president Donald Trump designated Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern due to alleged persecution of Christians in the country.

In the viral video, Judd Saul revealed that before the attack in Yelwata, Benue State, that his team got intel through his Truth Nigeria initiative (which they created to report genocides and other terror incidents not reported by news media in Nigeria), that the Fulanis were mobilizing and would attack the community.
What they did according to Saul, was to inform the Nigerian authorities of the intelligence. However, the government took it mildly.
He stated that there is a military Barrack 1km away from the town where the massacre happened. He alleged that the soldiers did not respond directly to the attack, rather, they kept directing shots at the sky, allowing the attackers finish up and leave.
He accused the Nigerian government of purposely shunning reports that do no come directly from domestic sources. However, that their initiative ‘Truth Nigeria’ has been reporting facts and terror events deliberately ignored by Nigerian news agencies.
