The wife of the 15th Senate President of the 10th Senate, Mrs. Ekaette Unoma Akpabio, has reacted to Senator Natasha Akpoti’s accusations that Senator Akpabio made inappropriate romantic advances to her.
Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan granted an interview on Friday with Arise TV, where she made strong accusations about the Senate President, saying he made advances to her, first proposing that she come over to his home in Uyo for them to have a good time, and later telling her to make him happy before he would facilitate her motion in Ajaokuta.
These all began during a plenary session where the Senate President ordered the Kogi State senator out for misconduct after she refused to honor the new seating arrangement but insisted on speaking from her former seat in the chambers.
Reacting to Senator Natasha Akpoti’s claims, the wife of the Senate President accused Senator Natasha of lying and creating content for her personal gains.

According to her, her husband, Senator Akpabio, is very disciplined; however, he is a very jovial man who is often misinterpreted.

“Unfortunate accusation. I’d rather call it unfortunate,” she said. “It’s very demeaning, because that is a family. We knew the husband before the husband married her. We’ve always known the man. We were very good friends.
“I really don’t understand where this is coming from. And I believe that for somebody to make such an allegation, there must be a discussion at home. There must have been a sanction or an approval: ‘You are going to say this; go ahead and say it.’ Approval that comes from the husband, our friend,” Mrs. Akpabio said.
She believes that Senator Natasha Akpoti’s husband being their friend would have confronted them; however, his calmness over time speaks of something that has been premeditated.
