The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has urged President Bola Tinubu to take swift and decisive action against terrorists and their sponsors amid growing fears of possible U.S. military involvement in Nigeria.

Speaking during the November Holy Ghost Service on Friday, Adeboye warned that the country must act fast following U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent threats to intervene over the “Christian genocide” in Nigeria.

The revered cleric advised Tinubu to give the newly appointed service chiefs a three-month ultimatum to eliminate terrorists and their financiers—or resign if they fail.

“This is not the time for blame. Our President inherited this problem,” Adeboye said, recalling that he had given similar counsel to the late President Muhammadu Buhari but the plan was never enforced.

He stressed that Nigeria should not expect help from foreign powers if America strikes, saying, “If America attacks, China will not come. Russia will not come. Britain will only condemn and move on.”

Adeboye urged Tinubu to diplomatically appeal to Trump for a 100-day grace period to address the security crisis, promising that within that time, the service chiefs must deliver results.

“This is no time for drama or arguments,” he warned. “Innocent people are dying. The government must act now.”
