A Nigerian mother has shared a deeply emotional story of how her young son developed cerebral palsy after a supposed deliverance session at her husband’s church went tragically wrong.
In a viral video, the woman recounted that the incident happened when her son was just a year and four months old. During a prayer session, the pastor reportedly claimed that the boy had a “great star” but was “chained by the enemy” and needed immediate deliverance.
According to her, the pastor then turned the child upside down as part of the spiritual exercise. That act, she said, marked the beginning of her son’s health crisis. Shortly after, the boy began experiencing severe seizures that later resulted in brain damage. Doctors eventually diagnosed him with cerebral palsy.

The grieving mother said the experience shattered her world. Since then, she has struggled emotionally, physically, and financially to care for her son.
Her pain was made worse when her husband, who was a member of the same church, abandoned them after their son’s second birthday. She revealed that he has since remarried and moved on with his life.
