Popular Nigerian prophet and founder of Zion Prayer Movement Outreach, Evangelist Ebuka Obi, has been caught in a staged miracle.
It happened that one of his members, a lady, gave a testimony in Evangelist Ebuka’s church about buying a mansion worth N500 million.
The lady who claims she is single narrated how she grew from N300,000 to becoming a multi-millionaire and buying a N500 million mansion in the Lekki area of Lagos State and thanked the God of Evangelist Ebuka for doing it for her.
“Zion is the best; this is the last bus stop,” the lady had said. “I have my evidence here.”

The church screen showed a huge mansion claimed to be the lady’s, amidst shouts and cheers from the large congregation.
In an excited response, Evangelist Ebuka Obi told his congregation to claim their own mansions.
“This is a mansion, I prophesy; are you claiming this? Stand up and claim it; receive your favor. Look at this mansion, built by a young lady, so what are you waiting for?” he asked the congregation.
The lady in question was confronted by some people who knew her, where she was shamed and persuaded to say the truth, which led to her confessing that the testimony was staged.
In fact, it is also reported that the owner of the mansion got her arrested for claiming ownership of his property.
It seems Evangelist Ebuka has been spotted out for fake miracles, as an earlier one being reported of Nollywood veteran actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, whose illness required seven surgeries and amputation, however, was claimed to have received healing from Evangelist Ebuka.
Mr. Ibu later died on March 2, 2024, after the acclaimed healing from the Zion Ministry.
A lot of Nigerian clergymen have been accused of staging miracles to deceive Nigerians and continue to get them to “sow seeds” while they wait for their own turn of miracles.
