What should have been a fun night at Coldplay’s July 16 concert turned into a viral PR disaster for tech executives Andy Byron and Kristin Cabot (CEO and Chief People Officer) of $1.2 billion AI firm Astronomer.
The pair were caught cuddling with Andy Byron’s arms wrapped firmly over Cabot’s breasts on the stadium’s kiss cam at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. But their awkward reaction, ducking and covering their faces, only intensified public suspicion.
Concertgoers and TikTok users quickly identified the pair, which fueled allegations of a workplace affair. Coldplay frontman Chris Martin even joked about it when it showed on the screen, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”

Byron, who is reportedly married, had previously praised Cabot’s 2024 hiring as a “perfect fit,” citing her 20 years in HR and ability to build trust from “CEOs to assistants.” Cabot, who divorced in 2022, had shared similar enthusiasm, noting how “energized” she was after talks with Byron.

The viral clip, which racked up millions of views online, left viewers speculating about workplace ethics and accountability, especially given Cabot’s role overseeing HR.
Observers noted the irony of an HR executive allegedly involved in an undisclosed office romance. “She needs a lesson from her own handbook,” someone said.
Insiders claimed former Astronomer employees were “laughing their ass off,” describing Byron as a “toxic” boss now getting exposed. Meanwhile, Facebook users stomped the profile of Byron’s wife, who reportedly removed her married name before deactivating her account.

Neither Byron, Cabot, nor Astronomer has commented on the incident. Whether the relationship violates company policy or was disclosed internally remains unknown.
Still, the kiss cam moment has sparked widespread conversation and debates online. Even the world’s richest man, Elon Musk, reacted with a laugh emoji.
What is a ‘kiss cam’?
A kiss cam is a popular feature at live events like concerts or sports games where a camera scans the crowd and shows couples on a big screen, encouraging them to kiss while being watched by the audience. It’s usually meant to be fun and lighthearted.
