Nollywood actress Patience Ugwu, popularly known as Pat Ugwu has passed away at 35. The cause of her death has not yet been revealed, however, the Nigerian movie industry mourns her untimely demise.
Emeka Okoye, another Nollywood actor shared the sad news of Pat’s death on his official Instagram account. Okoye expressed his sadness that they never had the chance to collaborate.
The obituary mentioned that Pat’s family plans to hold her burial on 6th and 7th of February, 2025.

Announcing her death, Emeka wrote, “Rest in peace sis. Pat ugwu. @patpat_ugwu so we no get to work again? Death whyooo ? God please 😭😭😭. Rest in peace PAT. May your soul rest in the bosom of the Lord. God please protect all my colleagues especially those am close to. This unusual Death is frightening . I proclaim life to everyone close to me this 2025 in the precious blood of Jesus. Amen.”
Pat who joined the industry barely a decade ago was a rising actress. She had lost her father in 2021, and shared how she felt about it on her social media handle.
She featured in the 2016 movie titled “Forbidden Acts”, alongside Inem Peters.
