In a distressing event that has unsettled the Nsukka community in Enugu State, a man identified as Ogbonna, popularly known by the nickname “Mourinho,” has been arrested for allegedly killing his ex-girlfriend, Chisom Ayogu.
According to reports, Chisom, a native of Amufie in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, visited Ogbonna at his residence on New Anglican Road in Nsukka to inform him of her upcoming wedding.

During the visit, an altercation ensued, leading to Ogbonna allegedly assaulting Chisom. She was found unconscious and rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
Ogbonna, who hails from Igogoro, also in Igbo-Eze North LGA, has been taken into custody by the Enugu State Police Command for interrogation.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage and calls for justice from Chisom’s family.
