The tragic event occurred on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at No. 50 Upper Mission Extension. Reports indicate that Kelvin fatally struck his wife with a hammer during a heated argument.

According to Edo State Police Command spokesperson, Moses Yamu, the suspect was nearly lynched by an angry mob before the police intervened and arrested him.
Unverified reports suggest that Success was four months pregnant at the time of her death. Neighbors claim that Kelvin had a history of domestic abuse, allegedly assaulting his wife even before their marriage.
