President Bola Tinubu, on Wednesday, on his arrival to Benue State, visited the surviving victims of the Yelwata attack at the hospital, which cost over 200 lives. He did so with his team, covered in nose masks.
On his arrival, the president and his convoy were welcomed by heavy rain and floods as they drove into Benue State for his condolence visit.
Students were also made to stand by the roadside in their uniforms under the drizzling rain, singing the national anthem to welcome Tinubu as he drove into town with his convoy.

Igbo TV had earlier reported about the outrage by Nigerians after seeing welcome banners mounted on Benue roads with the inscription, “Mr. President, Thank You for Your Condolence with the Benue State People”
Netizens have taken to their social media handles to lambast the Benue State government and some people for using such a terrific happenstance to campaign for Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.
