Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has described President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the “angel” sent by God to fix Nigeria’s problems.
Bello made the statement during an endorsement rally for President Tinubu and Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo, which aired on TVC over the weekend.
In his speech, Bello dismissed the idea of waiting for a supernatural being to save the country, saying Nigerians must recognize that their “angel” is already here. “We will not wait for God to send an angel with wings to fly into Nigeria to fix it. The angel is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” he declared.

The former governor highlighted the major reforms introduced under Tinubu’s administration, including the removal of fuel subsidies, student loan programs, and the floating of the exchange rate, all aimed at building a “new Nigeria.” He urged Nigerians to be patient, stressing that the country’s deep-rooted problems cannot be solved overnight.
Bello praised Tinubu’s leadership for initiating infrastructural projects and economic policies designed to improve citizens’ welfare. He emphasized the importance of leadership legacy, adding that true leaders are remembered for the positive impact they leave behind.
“As we move into the future, not just 2027, we must ensure Mr. President leaves a legacy that future generations will uphold,” he said.
His remarks come as political attention begins to shift toward the 2027 general elections, where Tinubu is widely expected to seek a second term.
