Mrs. Shimite Bello, aka Sabificate, was the Special Adviser to the Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, on Trade and Export. Reports have it that she died on Easter Monday through what is believed to be poisoning.
She was married to Pastor David Favour Love, which her brother claims to have been toxic.
Witnesses say she was foaming from her mouth when they found her and was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital Asaba, where she was proclaimed dead on arrival.
According to Mrs. Shimite’s brother, her maid had called to report that her husband had locked her in the house all day. When the brother arrived at the house, she was found foaming from the mouth.

Immediately after she passed on, the Delta State police were called, and her husband was arrested, as fingers have pointed towards him as the culprit.
Her family members told SaharaReporters that Shimite’s husband was overprotective, controlling, and insecure and had even isolated her from her family, often times forbidding her from going to the office.
“Since he came into her life, he cut everyone off. Her brother couldn’t even visit. He wouldn’t let her go to the office. He was always trailing her. Even the name on all her properties in Abuja and elsewhere was changed to his name. We believe she was manipulated—hypnotized even,” a family source said.
“If she were not hypnotized, which woman with her right senses would do such? What kind of love is that your husband would follow you everywhere you went, and you wouldn’t see anything wrong with that? Your husband would lock you in and not allow you to go to the office?
“Anytime you tell Shimite about certain things, she would tell you, ‘Don’t worry, my husband is a pastor. He’s my spiritual father. He sees everything’. It’s very unfortunate Shimite had to learn the hard way. How could a special adviser to a governor just die like that?”
It is believed that Shimite’s husband was a jealous type and preferred sticking around her always.
Her body has been deposited in the mortuary as police begin investigations.
