A political support group in the South-East, the South East Renewed Hope Agenda (SERHA), has raised ₦200 million to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election campaign ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The money, according to the group, will be used to purchase the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential nomination form for Tinubu and also support campaign activities across the region.
The announcement was made during the inauguration of SERHA’s Imo State chapter over the weekend. The event attracted several political figures, traditional leaders, and supporters from across the five South-East states.
Speaking at the event, the group’s National Coordinator, Hon. Belusochukwu Enwere, said their decision was inspired by the achievements of the Tinubu-led administration in areas like infrastructure, education, and regional inclusion.

“As ambassadors of the Renewed Hope Agenda, it is our responsibility to drive the president’s re-election in 2027. This ₦200 million contribution is just the beginning,” Enwere said.
He pointed to the $3 billion Eastern Rail Line project as a major win for the region under Tinubu, calling it the “biggest infrastructure investment the South-East has ever seen.”
He also mentioned the newly established South East Development Commission (SEDC) as a critical step toward addressing challenges like erosion, poor road networks, and uneven development in the region.
Enwere praised former leaders like Chief Sam Mbakwe and Chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu for laying a foundation for regional advocacy and also commended Imo State Governor Hope Uzodinma for his contributions under the 3R Agenda.
He added that from August, the group will begin touring all 95 local government areas and 2,344 wards across the South-East to mobilize support for Tinubu.
“This is Southern Nigeria’s turn to complete its eight years in power. The South-East will stand strong in 2027 to ensure the president returns,” he said.
As part of the event, SERHA also distributed empowerment tools such as sewing machines, minibuses, motorcycles, hairdressing kits, and cash support to residents—an effort aimed at boosting grassroots entrepreneurship and encouraging community growth.
