Full story here.Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, says she believes the country will soon enter a period of great prosperity and may even start lending money to other nations by 2026.She said this on Sunday in Ile-Ife, Osun State, after she received the chieftaincy title of Yeye Asiwaju Gbogbo Ile Oodua. The event was held to celebrate the 10th coronation anniversary of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.Top personalities attended the ceremony, including former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Nana Shettima, Patience Jonathan, Governors Ademola Adeleke, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Dapo Abiodun. Former Speaker Dimeji Bankole and traditional rulers such as the Sultan of Sokoto and the Olu of Warri were also present.Mrs Tinubu thanked the Ooni and the people of Ile-Ife for the honour. She said Nigeria is entering a season of joy and that those doubting the progress of President Bola Tinubu’s administration will soon see results.According to her, Nigeria will surprise many people because of the achievements expected before 2026.Earlier in the event, the Ooni of Ife praised Remi Tinubu’s support and spoke about the important roles played by leaders like Obasanjo. The Sultan of Sokoto prayed for peace and for God to guide Nigeria’s leaders.Governor Adeleke said the Ooni had modernised the image of traditional leadership and helped promote Yoruba culture globally. He added that the Osun State government is upgrading infrastructure in Ile-Ife, including 14 roads and the town’s first flyover.Copied
