Members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) erupted in joy as their General Overseer, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, announced a 100-day fast for 2025. The announcement came during the ongoing 2024 Holy Ghost Congress at the Redemption Camp along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

While addressing the congregation, Pastor Adeboye urged church members to enjoy the remaining weeks of 2024, as the upcoming year would be spiritually demanding. “I’m talking to soldiers of Christ,” he said. “I want to warn you in advance: in 2025, we are going to fast for 100 days. Enjoy now because the journey ahead is intense.”

Pastor Adeboye emphasized the spiritual significance of fasting, calling it the “secret of never falling again.” He clarified that while the Bible states “the just shall live by faith,” fasting remains a powerful tool for spiritual growth.

A video clip of his announcement, shared by Church Gist on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle, quickly went viral, sparking reactions from church members and followers worldwide.

Social media platforms were flooded with mixed reactions:

  • @JoyfulBeliever: “100 days of fasting? God give us strength! We are ready.”
  • @BlessedSoul123: “Pastor Adeboye always prepares us for spiritual battles. 2025 will be victorious by God’s grace.”
  • @FaithWarrior78: “The fast is tough, but breakthroughs are guaranteed. We trust in God’s promises.”

During the Congress, Pastor Adeboye also declared that 2024’s gathering would be transformational, promising divine acceleration in all aspects of life. Many worshippers left the event energized and spiritually prepared for the challenges and blessings ahead.

The Holy Ghost Congress continues to inspire millions, reinforcing faith and spiritual resilience among RCCG members and beyond.
