Another report of gunmen taking lives in the Eastern part of Nigeria has reached IgboTv.

A report from Sahara Reporters says that in the early hours of Wednesday, some unidentified  gunmen killed some men of the Nigerian Police Force.

The incidence is said to have occurred in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.

Sources indicates that, the policemen were killed around 7 a.m on Wednesday morning.

However, the police authorities are yet to confirm the event and issue a statement.

Sahara Reporters mentions similar event that took place few days ago. Where a police inspector was killed and another injured in an attack by gunmen dressed in police jackets.

The gunmen are said to have attacked the convoy of a lawmaker of the Lower chambers Mr. Ginger Onwusibe at Ubakala town in Umuahia South Local Government Area, Abia State; and the policemen were his details.

Though the Federal House member was not in the convoy, the gunmen fired at the convoy and the two men who had earlier identified themselves as policemen, before running away.

Recall that IgboTv had also earlier reported similar incident in Anambra State, where unknown gunmen killed four vigilantes and injured few on a Monday morning.
