It is no longer news that the much anticipated Miss Universe contest has been ended. Only one winner becomes the Miss Universe out of 125 women that joined the contest from different countries all over the world.
Victoria Kjær Theilvig of Denmark won the contest as the most beautiful woman in the world and was crowned the 73rd Miss Universe. She would be paid an annual salary of $250,000, in addition to a Lumiere de l’Infini crown made up of 23 golden South Sea pearls.
Chidimma Vanessa Onwe Adetshina who represented Nigeria in the contest that was held in Mexico emerged the 1st Runner up amidst cheers and celebration from Nigerians who gave her their unwavering support after the incidence with South Africa.

Chidimma according to the Investigative Journalist and twitter influencer David Hundeyin would be receiving a sum of $100,000, with a $3 million diamond crown, a one year lease on a luxury apartment in New York, etc as the first runner up of the Miss Universe contest. The other three runner ups are, Maria Fenanda Beltran of Mexico, Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand and Ileana Marquez of Venezuela.
While majority of Nigerians prayed that Chidimma would win the contest in order to shame the South Africans who pushed her back home, they still did not believe she could even come close to 1st Runner up. Yet, this is a win for Nigerians against their South African counterparts.
Recall that Chidimma who was born and brought up in South Africa had earlier some months ago, lost the Miss South Africa 2024 to Mia le Roux, which was seen by Nigerians as a planned action for their contempt towards Nigerian bloods. Chidimma was hence pushed by South Africans to consider home, and when she considered home, she was welcomed with open arms, and could not be denied the support she needed for the Miss Universe 2024.
The contemptuous South Africans have not hesitated to throw their tantrums and mockery, since Nigerians’ wishes was not granted. It is in response to one of them, that David Hundeyin reveals Chidimma’s take home as the world’s second most beautiful woman.
