Benjamin Best Nnayereugo, popularly known as Killaboi, has been extradited from Doha, Qatar, to Nigeria to face prosecution for the alleged murder of 21-year-old university student Miss Augusta Onuwabhagbe.
The suspect, who was declared wanted by the Nigeria Police Force in October 2023, arrived in Nigeria in the early hours of Saturday and was immediately taken into custody.
His arrests wouldn’t have been possible if it weren’t for the coordinated effort of the Nigeria Police Force, the Federal Ministry of Justice, INTERPOL’s National Central Bureau (NCB) Abuja, and judicial authorities in Qatar.

According to a statement by Force Public Relations Officer ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, shared via X (formerly Twitter), the extradition was initiated after the victim’s family filed a petition through their legal representatives on September 29, 2024.
The case was then referred to INTERPOL NCB Abuja for thorough investigation. In addition, the police stated that Nnayereugo allegedly murdered Onuwabhagbe at his residence at 24A Abiola Apooyi Street, Oral Estate, Ajah, Lagos, on July 13, 2023. The victim was a first-class student at Lead City University, Ibadan, Oyo State.
After the incident, Benjamin had reportedly fled the country and later released a video online appearing to confess to the crime—an act intended to mislead investigators.
