“Na so so lie lie and yeye talk you dey yarn about Peter Obi, just to trend and please ya paymasters; We no go gree make you drag Obi inside gutter" — Charly Boy Blasts Deji Adeyanju for Insulting Peter Obi

Veteran entertainer and activist Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has slammed political commentator Deji Adeyanju over his recent claims against Labour Party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi.

In a strongly worded post on X, Charly Boy accused Adeyanju of spreading lies just to remain relevant and please his “paymasters.” He said Adeyanju’s attacks on Obi were reckless, irresponsible, and an attempt to drag the former Anambra governor into the mud.

“Na so so lie lie and yeye talk you dey yarn about Peter Obi, just to trend and please ya paymasters. Shame no dey catch you?” Charly Boy wrote.

Describing Obi as a man who still gives Nigerians hope for a better country, Charly Boy said Adeyanju had instead chosen to become “an errand boy for chop money politics.” He dismissed Adeyanju’s allegation that Obi attempted to offer a bribe, calling it baseless.

“You say Obi wan bribe you? Abeg park well jare! If dem wan see who dey sell himself for 30 pieces of silver, na you wey dey run upandan for crumbs,” he added.

Charly Boy warned that such comments could have legal consequences, reminding Adeyanju that Obi’s camp had already threatened legal action over defamation.

“We no go gree make you drag Obi inside gutter. If you no get respect, at least get small sense. This ya reckless and irresponsible behavior fit make you chop legal breakfast,” he wrote.

The clash follows Adeyanju’s rejection of Obi’s demand for a retraction of his bribery claim, with the activist daring Obi to meet him in court.
