The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 37-year-old man, Anthony Kosisochukwu Okafor, for allegedly killing his elder brother, Emmanuel Okafor, during a dispute over foodstuff.
The tragic incident occurred in Adegbe Village, Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area.
According to police spokesperson SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the altercation escalated into violence, leading Kosisochukwu to fatally stab his brother in the chest with a stick.

Emmanuel was rushed to the hospital, where he was later confirmed dead by doctors.
The police have transferred the case to the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigation Department in Awka for further investigation.
Authorities emphasized the need for peaceful conflict resolution within families to prevent such deadly consequences.
