A Nigerian man has shared a surprising twist in his love life after his wife’s repeated actions pushed him toward someone else.
Tort Wallace, posting on X (formerly Twitter), revealed that in 2017, his wife locked him out of the house once again for returning home late, a punishment he claims had happened more than 20 times. But this time, something different happened.
Their female tenant, described by Wallace as “beautiful and kind-hearted,” offered him shelter for the night. That simple act of kindness would later change both their lives.

“In 2017, my wife locked me outside, but our beautiful, kind-hearted female tenant opened her door for me. In short, she’s not a tenant anymore. We now have three children,” he wrote.

The post quickly went viral, sparking conversation about marriage, forgiveness, and boundaries. Wallace’s story was a direct response to another user’s tweet about a man who chose a different path, rented a new house, and started life afresh after being locked out by his wife.
While some online users praised Wallace’s former tenant for her compassion, others criticized the entire situation, questioning the dynamics that led to the collapse of the first marriage.
