On October 26, 2024, Lamine Yamal made El Clásico history by becoming the youngest player to score in the fixture. The 17-year old Spaniard slotted home the third goal of the night in the 77th minute of Barcelona’s 4-0 statement win over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu. His goal, set up by an assist from Raphinha, was more than enough to seal the emphatic performance, cementing Barcelona’s position at the top of La Liga and extending the gap to a comfortable 6-point lead over their rivals.

This historic moment just adds to the already quite lengthy list of Yamal’s record-breaking achievements since his professional debut. However, Barcelona aren’t the only ones enjoying the proceeds of his service, as his undeniable talent also extends on the international stage; he became the youngest-ever player to feature and score for Spain during the Euro 2024 tournament, in the qualifier against Georgia.
