Kuwait Police Arrest Two Nigerians for $14,918 Robbery at Exchange Office
Two Nigerians have been arrested by the Kuwaiti General Department of Criminal Investigations for their alleged involvement in an armed robbery at an exchange office in Mahboula, Kuwait.
The suspects reportedly stole $14,918.69 during the robbery. The Ministry of Interior confirmed their arrest, adding that the stolen money and other recovered items have been handed over to the Public Prosecution Office for further legal action.
According to reports from the Arab Times, the arrests were made within 24 hours of the crime by the Criminal Security Sector in the Ahmadi Governorate.
Investigations revealed that the suspects planned the heist carefully. They monitored the exchange offices from rooftops to identify peak hours and used stolen license plates to disguise the vehicles used in the operation.
One suspect was arrested in Mahboula. He confessed to surveilling the exchange office and alerting his accomplice when it was free of customers. The second suspect was apprehended at the Al-Qurain Markets area.

During the raid at the suspects’ residence, authorities recovered the stolen money and a small bag of the narcotic known as “crystal meth.”
This arrest has drawn attention to the increasing measures taken by Kuwaiti authorities to combat crime and ensure swift justice.
