Report reaching Igbo TV has it that a female bank staff identified simply as Ifeoma, who was kidnapped in Onitsha, Anambra State, has been killed by the same kidnappers after a ransom for her release was paid to them.
It is reported that her lifeless body was found around Ideani junction, along Nnobi/Alor road where it was dumped by her murderers.
Her family reportedly paid the ransom demanded for her release after Ifeoma was abducted in Onitsha, but she was later found dead along the Nnobi/Alor road near Ideani Junction.

Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu shared details of the incident on his Facebook page, expressing outrage over the increasing insecurity in the Southeast region.
“Lives are being taken daily and it’s sad nothing is being done to end all this k!llings. WHO IS NEXT? If we keep fold our hands and do nothing, it may get to you,” he wrote.

Further developments in combating such crimes have been reported. Anambra State Police arrested suspects involved in similar kidnapping cases, recovering stolen vehicles and intensifying efforts to apprehend other gang members. However, the broader insecurity in the region remains a pressing concern.
