President Bola Tinubu has honored the Super Falcons in grand style after their stunning triumph at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) held in Morocco.
The president hosted the players and coaching crew at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, praising them for their courage, resilience, and the pride they brought to Nigeria.

Describing their victory as “truly historic,” Tinubu said the nation is proud of how the team defied all odds to clinch the continental title.
As a token of appreciation, the president awarded each player a national honor, a generous cash gift of $100,000, and a fully furnished three-bedroom apartment.
The players, visibly excited, expressed gratitude for the recognition and reward. Nigerians on social media have also praised the gesture, saying the team’s hard work and dedication finally got the attention it deserves.
