Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has once again spoken openly about how he believes his life on earth will come to an end, and he says it will be peaceful.
Addressing a large congregation at the ongoing RCCG International Convention, themed “The Overcomers,” Pastor Adeboye shared his firm belief that he will pass away quietly on a Sunday, after attending church and enjoying his favorite meal: pounded yam.
“I will die on a Sunday, after service, eat my beloved pounded yam, and then go to be with the Lord, no sickness, no pain,” he said to the crowd of worshippers.

The respected cleric, known for his calm voice and deep spirituality, emphasized that death doesn’t always have to come through illness or long suffering. He said he is confident his own departure will be peaceful and divinely timed.
Pastor Adeboye also reminded the audience that this wasn’t the first time he had spoken about this. He had shared the same vision about two years ago and still believes it to be a message from God.
During his sermon, titled “Possess Your Possessions,” he urged Christians not to live passively or fearfully but to take hold of their spiritual inheritance with boldness and faith. He encouraged believers to walk in their God-given purpose and refuse to settle for less than what God has promised them.
His statement has since sparked reactions among Nigerians and the Christian community, many of whom see it as a very powerful statement.
