The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has announced the commencement of applications for its Direct Short Service Commission (DSSC) Course 34/2025, inviting qualified graduates and postgraduates to apply across various professions.
According to the official statement, the application process is completely free of charge and will be conducted online through the recruitment portal at (nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng.) Interested applicants are advised to carefully study the specific requirements before filling out the form.
On completion, candidates are expected to print out necessary documents, including an acknowledgment form, a parent/guardian consent form, and a Local Government Area attestation form to be signed by either a senior military officer, a police officer from the rank of Assistant Commissioner and above, a substantive Local Government Chairman/Secretary, or a magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be Nigerian citizens by birth.
- Age limit is between 22 and 32 years for most applicants, while medical consultants can apply between 25 and 40 years.
- Serving personnel must be recommended by their commanding officers and must have served at least 10 years.
- Minimum height requirement is 1.66m for males and 1.63m for females.
- Applicants must be physically, medically, and psychologically fit, free from any prior criminal conviction.
Academic Qualifications
Applicants are required to possess a minimum of Second Class Upper Degree or Upper Credit for HND holders. A Master’s degree, computer literacy, and professional memberships will be considered added advantages. Candidates must also have at least five credits in WASSCE/NECO/GCE, including English Language and Mathematics.

Additionally, applicants must present their NYSC discharge certificate or a letter of exemption, while medical applicants are expected to provide certificates of registration from their professional bodies in Nigeria.
Application Timeline
The online registration begins on Wednesday, 27 August 2025, and closes on Tuesday, 7 October 2025. A zonal aptitude test will follow, with details to be communicated via the NAF recruitment portal.
