According to a report reaching Igbo Tv today January 03, 2025, a jealous husband stabbed the Bishop of Rapture Empowerment International Church in Osogbo, Osun State, Dr. Sina Olaribighe to death.
The Bishop who is now late, is said to have been acting as a dispute settler for the couple who have been fighting and not in good terms, and were currently living separately, though not formally separated as couple.
The husband suspected that the Bishop was having an affair with his estranged wife, and so traced and followed the Bishop as he visited his wife in her apartment located around BCGA area behind Olorunda Local Government Area in Osun State capital, Osogbo, and stabbed him severally to death.

According to a church member and some eyewitnesses, the deceased was found on the bed of the wife lying lifeless, however, it could not be said if truly the Bishop has been having an affair with the man’s wife while trying to make peace and bring them back together.
The Osun State Police Command has reported arrested the culprit and the wife. Confirming the arrest, the State’s PPRO said in a statement, “They are a couple but not living together. They are not separated by law yet. The Bishop, (deceased) used to settle the fight between the couple.
“We were told the pastor was at the wife’s place today when the estranged husband got there. We were also told the husband stabbed the pastor.
We were also told the deceased was on the wife’s bed when the incident happened. The husband stabbed him severally and he died.”
