The Kano State Hisbah Board has arrested 26 women during a raid on a hotel in the Kano metropolis over alleged immoral activities.
The operation, which took place on Saturday, followed complaints from residents about suspicious acts taking place at the facility.
Speaking on Monday, the Deputy Commander General of Hisbah, Dr. Mujahid Aminuddeen, confirmed that the raid was carried out with assistance from military authorities.

“We appreciate the military commanders for their support, which made the operation successful,” he said.
According to him, many of the suspects were found intoxicated, and several cartons of alcohol were seized from the premises.
Aminuddeen urged residents to continue reporting similar cases of immoral activities in hotels or residential areas, assuring that the board would take prompt action.
He also noted that such operations would be sustained as part of efforts to curb indecent behavior across Kano State.
