Comfort Emmanson, the passenger accused of assaulting an Ibom Air flight attendant, has spoken publicly for the first time since the incident that led to her arrest and brief detention.
Emmanson, who was arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court and remanded at Kirikiri Correctional Centre, regained freedom after Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo directed Ibom Air to withdraw its complaint.
In a video shared on her Instagram page, the real estate consultant narrated her side of the story, insisting that the matter began over difficulties switching off her phone during a Uyo–Lagos flight.

According to her, a faulty device made it hard to comply, and although a fellow passenger helped, the flight attendant, Juliana Edwards, allegedly became hostile.
“She later blocked me from leaving the aircraft in Lagos without explanation. When I tried to record for my safety, she pushed me, dragged my chain and wig, and broke my phone. Out of anger from the pain she caused me, I poked her, but I never intended to assault her,” Emmanson said.
She further claimed security personnel dragged her roughly out of the plane, tore her clothes, and left her body exposed while filming. “My nude video is now everywhere. I feel ashamed and traumatized,” she lamented.
While expressing gratitude to those who supported her, Emmanson said the ordeal had damaged her reputation and business, stressing that she had flown with Ibom Air for years without issues until the incident.
