Miss Ruby, a business woman based at Lagos raises an alarm on Instagram over a disturbing trend that has been going on among Lagos house helps.
Ruby said in her post;
“I can categorically tell you that most Nannies or house helps in Lagos are HIV positive.” This lady Ruby pointed out that while interviewing and searching the bags of two nannies that were brought to resume work less in than a week, discovered some pills that she believed to are for HIV patients.
She said she has been in shock all through the week. In the shock of this discovery, she warned every family out there looking for a nanny or has one currently to check their nannies’ bags occasionally and also take them to hospital for test, and not asking them to go on their own, as they may present fake results.

In reaction to this information, some social media users are putting blames on families that bring random house helps into their home, without proper screening, or referring to nannies from professional domestic staffing agencies.
Ruby on questioning one of the nannies, discovered that she slept with her former Madam’s husband, saying he was sick and needed assistant.
The other nanny whom Ruby says appears more like an expert, as she removed the original label in the drugs and had wrapped them twice before burying it underneath her bag.
In surprise she said “Non of my previous employers had checked her bags before”
Ruby leaves a note of warning to every family in search of nannies, to search their bags as frequent as possible before letting them in, as these house helps has a different agenda.
