Nigerian-English Heavy Weight Boxing star, Anthony Joshua has triggered debates on the social media space after claiming that one cannot reach billionaire status with entertainment and sports.
Anthony Joshua who last Christmas spent his holiday in his Nigerian home with his family, said for one to reach billionaire status, he/she has to focus on sustainability, books and business ethics, and not through sports, music or entertainment.
He pointed out that those musicians, entertainers, etc who brag about being billionaires are just hypes and not true.
“For any of you to reach billionaire status, it will not be through sports, music or entertainment. Don’t get lost in the hype. Focus on the sustainability, books and business ethics,” Anthony Joshua wrote.

The post has got lots of Nigerians talking, especially after the “who got more money” banter between Nigerian Grammy-Award winning musician, Burna Boy and billionaire businessman, Cubana Chief Priest.
It is to be clarified that the billionaire status Anthony Joshua is talking about is in US Dollars and not Nigerian Naira.
One billion US Dollars is over a trillion Naira and more, depending on the exchange rate.

Below are some reactions by Nigerians:
Fadason Deh Behminum wrote;
“Yeah Davido once said it in one of his interview that all of his brothers are richer than him. If he want to be a billionaire he will start working at one of his father company and he will be rich in billion dollars”
Cindy Ibeh reacted saying;
“For those insulting him He’s talking about billionaire status in dollars not our God forsaken naira. The American stars who are Billionajres are very few and probably got it through combining other businesses.”
Blazing Prince said;
“I quite agree with you to an extent;
but my only reservation is ,
why are most Nigerian professors with their level of knowledge still applying for Dangote trailer driving jobs and tuke-tuke 🤔”
Prince Olatayo Teriba Adepuji wrote;
“So Davido abi na 001 and all the 30GB Na over hype na just mouth he is not billionaire in dollar… Okay! In a nutshell Anthony Joshua is saying to be a billionaire in Dollar you must be doing business and transacting in dollars. Thank you bro!”
Fredrick Peter said;
“You must diversify your wealth across all major sectors to attain billionaires status (in dollar and not naira ooo)”
