FIFA has made plans to include a Halftime show in World Cup final matches just like the Super Bowl Halftime show done in the NFF and NBA, beginning with the 2026 World Cup, which will be played in the United States of America.
During an interview with Gianni Infantino, the FIFA president, host Rosanna Scotto suggested that Infantino call American and Canadian hip-hop star Drake to perform in the first ever FIFA World Cup final Half Time Show.
She explained to the FIFA president that during the NFF Superbowl Half Time show, for which Infantino himself was present, American rap star Kendrick Lamar performed and dissed Drake during his performance; hence, bringing up Drake to perform at the World Cup Half Time Show will put a balance to the beef.

FIFA president Infantino seems to have liked the idea, as he responded positively, “so we can create a bit of a rivalry..”, noting that Drake was present with them when they announced the cities where matches would be hosting and that he thinks he has Drake’s phone number with him.
The NFF Super Bowl Halftime show is considered the largest show gathering, of which music artistes are often obliged to perform.
The 2026 World Cup final will be played in New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium.
