“End time is near, I want to see you in my Father’s house,” Pastor Adeboye tells congregation after one of his Pastors was arrested abroad for Non-gender Discrimination

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye reminded his congregation of end time prospect.

During the church’s monthly thanksgiving service at the Redeemed Christian Church of God’s Throne of Grace in Lagos State on Sunday, the General Overseer highlighted the need for Christians to strengthen their commitment towards God and not just enjoying church activities.

He revealed to the congregation how one of his pastors was arrested abroad for saying “ladies and gentlemen”.

According to him, the pastor was charged for discriminating against those who do not identify as ladies or gentlemen. (That is those identified as non-binary).

“The end is nearer than you think,” he said. “Things are getting worse, and this is a wake-up call. One of my pastors abroad was arrested for simply addressing a gathering as ‘ladies and gentlemen.’

“Some people reported him for discrimination, asking, ‘What about those who are neither ladies nor gentlemen?’”

He used this happenstance as an offshoot for his sermon which was titled “My Father’s House.”

Also related another story of a woman who had a dog for a husband, and would often tell those who asked of her husband, that she took him to the vet, that he doesn’t talk.

Adeboye reflected on the current trends in the world, and said they are all signs of end time, hence, the members should not take it for granted.

“Those of you already in Christ, take this matter seriously. Do not let anyone weaken your stand. God is holy.

“Those still playing church—singing, clapping, and enjoying things without genuine commitment—remember, Jesus is coming back. The devil wants to harvest you, but you must not give him the opportunity. I want to see you in my Father’s house,” he said.

Pastor Adeboye has been trending on the internet lately for his controversial stance on issues relating to the nation and tithing.

Many Nigerians have begun to express disapproval in his statements, some claiming its old age. While many have been led to question the authenticity of Nigerian Pastors and General Overseers about being servants of God.
