Former of Governor of Kaduna State Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai has evoked reactions from netizens after he mad a post mocking former Presidential aide to Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri.
El Rufai posted on his X page calling Reno Omokri Wendell Simlin, who sometimes works as a political mercenary to whoever pays well.
The name Wendell Simlin comes from a 2015 scandal where Reno Omokri was accused by a United States citizen of identity theft.
Deborah Campbell had accused Reno Omokri of using her son’s face who is the original Wendell Simlin to connect the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Lamido Sanusi, to the Boko Haram terrorist group.

Mr. El-Rufai wrote on his X page with photos of Reno Omokri leading a protest in UK against Nigeria’s elected President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, with placards that had the inscription “NO TO A DRUG BARON IN ASO ROCK.”
Like some other Nigerians who did not support Tinubu, Reno had accused Tinubu of being a drug baron, due to some court papers made available on the internet by the investigative Journalist, David Hundeyin.
However, the tides seems to have turned as those allegations bore no fruits. It also seems reno Omikri quickly turned around and has been praising and talking much respectfully about Tinubu and his administration.
His support was with Atiku Abubakar during the general elections. He also attached Peter Obi and his supporters labeling him and opportunist.
