A man named Efe is said to have advertised a building for his friend whose name is Paulinus around September 2024. Paulinus liked the property, and sent Efe N30 million to acquire the property for him.
Efe did not acquire the property for his friend, rather he diverted the money, used it and bought two lands, and built a house for himself with the friend’s money.
Paulinus then requested for his property from Efe, Efe didn’t know how to explain to his friend what he used the money for, so he decided to kill his friend.

Efe then contacted three men, paid them N680,000 to kidnap his friend and kill him.
Later on, he called Paulinus and told him they were attending a party, that he should join them, Paulinus decided to join them.
On their way, once the people Efe paid for the job saw Paulinus, they kidnapped him, took him to Ororo river in Otukutu, Delta State, and beheaded Paulinus. They then tied his body to a stake and threw it into the river.
Then they took the head to a native doctor who collected it from them and buried it in his shrine.
After Efe successfully killed his friend, he called his friend’s family and told them Paulinus was kidnapped and that a ransom is demanded for his release. Efe collected over N20.7 million from the family.
Efe, the three murderers and the native doctor have all been arrested and are currently detained in the Delta State Police Command.
