Don't you Guys Read the Room? You're Buying Expensive Cars and Displaying While Nigerians are Struggling to Survive

Activist and socialite Vincent Martins Otse popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM) has called out Nigerian musicians Davido, Burna boy and Wizkid over their incessant purchase of luxury cars.

VDM expressed his disappointment at the three top afro pop music icons for not being able to “read the room”. At a time where the country’s economy is hitting Nigerians and especially their fans, they are busy acquiring luxury cars they don’t even need.

The video is in response to the recent update that Burna boy acquired a new McLaren Senna worth N3 billion. VDM could no longer hold himself from speaking out.

VDM criticized Davido for acquiring a Mercedes Maybach 2026 for around N2 billion, but has never empowered the youths of Osun State where he campaigned for his uncle to be voted in as governor.

He recalled how Burna boy used to talk about the bad government when he hadn’t hit the roof. But now, he has forgotten where he came from. No empowerment for even his fans in Port Harcourt.

Calling out Wizkid, VDM asked if the artist has empowered youths from Ojuelegba where he rose from.

According to VDM, this is not the moment these celebrities should be flaunting unnecessary acquisitions at the face of suffering Nigerians. Especially when they haven’t done anything to help the suffering Nigerians who make up their fanbase.
