A 60-year-old British man with a disability was robbed by three suspected sex workers after he invited them to his hotel room in Pattaya, Thailand. The incident took place at the Basaya Beach Hotel and Resort in the early hours of Wednesday.
Chris John Glennon, a wheelchair user from Northampton, reportedly picked up the three individuals—two Thai women and one transgender woman—along Pattaya’s busy beachfront road. After taking them to his hotel room, he went to take a shower. Upon returning, he discovered they had vanished—along with his money.
According to hotel staff, Glennon wheeled himself to the reception to report the theft. He told them the suspects stole about 6,000 Baht (approximately £140), which he intended to pay them, and an additional £150 in British currency he hadn’t exchanged yet.

Pattaya police confirmed the report was filed at 12:16 a.m. Two of the suspects were identified as Chantakarn Donlueam and Ekkarat Marknok, the latter reportedly a transgender individual. Both left identification with hotel staff. The third suspect, who did not present any ID, is still being traced.
Captain Anirut Jehrah of Pattaya City Police said investigators are reviewing CCTV footage and using ID photocopies collected at the hotel to track down the suspects.
Hotel staff confirmed Glennon had been a regular guest since June 24, staying alone throughout. While he had previously brought women to his room without incident, this was the first time such an event occurred. Due to his speech impairment, he communicated primarily through his phone.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the suspects to come forward as investigations continue.
