Davido wears Nigerian flag on his head to interview after receiving heat for speaking about the poor state of Nigeria’s economy in a recent interview in the US.
After receiving backlashes earlier this week for stating that Nigeria’s economy is in shambles, Nigerian Music artiste David Adeleke a.k.a Davido has sparked reactions on social media yet again as he wears a durag of Nigerian flag colors.
In a post on Twitter (X), Davido shared photos of him in his private luxury car, with the Nigerian colored durag cap on his head, and said he is attending an interview, and is fully representing Nigeria, putting it even on his head.
The caption reads; “I Dey go do interview nw … fully representing (Nigeria). Say make I kuku put am for head.”
Davido had earlier this week granted an interview to a United States station where he spoke openly about the deteriorating economic situation of Nigeria, and warned investors of the potential loss.
This provoked a lot of Nigerians who fired back at him for speaking disdainfully about Nigeria. Many said his family who holds a significant political status in the country was part of Nigeria’s problem.
A lot of other people agreed with him, saying he was simply being realistic. That he (Davido) did not lie.
Davido had responded that he and his likes were the real ambassadors of Nigeria, putting the flag up, that no one should insult him.
Today, he came up with a different post which has also put fans and netizens in a frenzy.
An influencer @it_Rutie warned Davido not to talk down on NIgeria. She wote; “001, Don’t talk down on Nigeria.”
@ukange_davidx who is prolly a Wizkid fan said; “We know who is putting us on the map…. Not you…. Its Burnaboy and Wizkid”
Another influencer @abazwhyllzz wrote; “Anybody wey say he hate Davido for this country dey pretend. Everybody love am dyyyyyeee😂❤️❤️❤️”
