Celebrity barman and nightlife entrepreneur, Cubana Chief Priest, has fired back at Coscharis Group CEO, Dr. Cosmas Maduka, following the billionaire’s viral remark condemning the “money na water” slang and public display of wealth.
In a series of Instagram stories, the socialite defended his lifestyle, arguing that the world has evolved from “industrial capitalism” to “attention capitalism,” where visibility is the new currency. “With all due respect to the older generation, the world you thrived in is not the one we live in today,” he wrote. “In your time, capital was factories and fleets; in ours, attention is the main capital.”

Cubana explained that “money na water” is not vanity but a metaphor for liquidity, influence, and abundance. “Water moves—so does relevance, visibility, and influence. A man with massive attention today has more leverage than one with quiet billions but no presence,” he added.
Taking a swipe at Maduka, he noted that modern wealth thrives on content, engagement, and visibility, not silence. “Content is digital equity,” he said, insisting that today’s rich must flow with time—or risk irrelevance.
