Celebrity billionaire businessman Pascal Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest, has shared why he couldn’t attend Davido and Chioma’s white wedding in Miami, Florida, after a series of booing from social media users.
In an emotional Instagram post on Saturday, he said he woke up with “mixed feelings” — happy for his best friend’s big day but sad over his own absence. His long-standing U.S. visa issues, he revealed, kept him from traveling.

“Sometimes, God has a way of reminding you that you are powerless, no matter what you think you have,” he wrote. Addressing the U.S. Embassy in Nigeria, he pleaded for another chance: “You can clearly see how disappointed and hurt the world is to see me absent at my best friend’s wedding. Delay is never denial — CP is still hopeful.”

While he couldn’t be there in person, Cubana Chief Priest noted that his wife, whom he described as “beautiful, elegant, expensive, eloquent and sophisticated,” attended alongside other family members to represent him. “So I’m there in body and spirit,” he added.
He also sent warm wishes to the newlyweds: “I’m wishing my best friend Davido and his beautiful wife Chioma an amazing wedlock.”
The socialite promised to reapply for his visa next week, hoping to finally experience America, a dream he says Davido has often described to him.

Cubana Chief Priest has previously explained that mistakes on an old visa application, filed years ago by someone else, have continued to affect his chances of entry into the U.S.
