If you applied for recruitment into the Civil Defence, Immigration, Fire, or Correctional Services before the recent update to their portal, there’s an important step you need to take now.
The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire, and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has issued a fresh notice to all early applicants, directing them to reconfirm their records through a new update portal.
In a press release signed by the Board’s Secretary, Maj. Gen. (Rtd.) AM Jibril, the agency stated that applicants who submitted their forms before the portal upgrade can now access their original applications at (https://update.cdcfib.gov.ng.)
“All records for applicants who submitted their details prior to the recent upgrade can now be accessed via the portal,” the statement reads.

Applicants are advised to visit the website to confirm and update their application details. Once done, a confirmation slip will be generated with the same Application ID as before.
However, the Board stressed that this portal is not for new applicants. If you applied after the upgrade, your latest application stands and won’t appear on the update portal.
“If you have submitted a new application after the upgrade, your latest submission will override any previous entries and will not be visible on this update portal,” it added.
Applicants have been urged to take action quickly and ensure that all submitted information is accurate to avoid any issues during the recruitment process.
This verification step is crucial, especially for those hoping to move forward in the screening phase.
