A report from SaharaReporters has it that, a Catholic priest has been kidnapped in Enugu State by gunmen.
The Catholic Priest, identified as Reverend Father Gerald Ohaeri, serving at Isienu Nsukka Parish, under Nsukka Catholic Diocese, is said to have been abducted while travelling along the Ugwuogo Nke-Opi Nsukka expressway in Enugu State.
Rev. Fr. Gerald Ohaeri is reported to have been kidnapped while returning from a function on Saturday, in the same Enugu State.

According to SaharaReporters, the road where the incident occurred, Abakpa – Ugwuogo-Nke – OPI Nsukka road, has been hijacked by criminals, making the road insecure for users, despite several police and military checkpoints along the road.
It also stated that efforts to locate the padre is ongoing.
