A shocking incident occurred in October 2024 somewhere in South Africa, of a cancelled wedding which was supposed to hold on the 5th of October.
The supposed groom narrates how his bride decided to call off their wedding just two days to the event. Her reason was simply because she doesn’t love him anymore.
The man identified on his social media handle as Dave W Danson, while narrating the incident expressed his gratitude to all the people, including his family members, friends and church, who made sure he was not negatively affected by the incident.
According to the story, Danson met this beautiful lady in a fellowship and they started dating for an adequate time, before deciding to marry.
They both attended Premarital Counseling Classes for 12 weeks according to their church requirements and graduated, then he proposed to the lady who said “yes”.

The marriage plans began, they met each other’s parents, Danson paid the dowry, and wedding was fixed for October 5, 2024.
The venue was paid for, invitations were sent across, everything was ready for the D-day.
Three days to the wedding, the groom said his wife to be was not picking up calls anymore, neither were their best couple.
The next day, being two days to the wedding day, the supposed bride called and requested for a meeting which had the attendance of the groom, and their best couple only.
There, she spilled the coffee, saying she can’t continue with the wedding, that she is cancelling it.
“My heart dropped in the stomach and my saliva dried up. I tried water but the words in my head became ice. We went for hours looking for any reason to have caused that and her final answer was ‘I Don’t Love Him Anymore and I’m Not Ready To Get Married’…good enough!” Danson wrote.
Danson had no other option than to accept, and made the announcement that the wedding has been cancelled, from which he started receiving lots of calls and visits.
“My phone has never received many calls like that week, the parking was flooding with friends and family coming over to check up on me,” he wrote.
The man said, during the wedding preparation, his mother was very happy, she had gathered all her friends and the villagers, hired a school bus so they could come witness her last born getting himself a wife.
He had also rented a new apartment (family size) different from the cave he was living earlier, so that he and his wife would pack in after their wedding.
However, things did not go as planned. His family members and church and prayed and consoled him, and his siblings even threw a private party for him, on the day which was supposed to be the wedding day, they ate all the cakes and food, drank and made merry just for him to feel good and forget the demoralizing incident.
