A fresh wave of terror swept through Isapa, a community in Ekiti Local Government Area of Kwara State, on Monday evening as armed men stormed the area and kidnapped a pregnant woman, 10 children, two nursing mothers and several others.
The attackers, estimated at between 20 and 30, struck around 6pm on November 24, moving into the town with a large herd of cattle and firing repeatedly as residents fled for safety. Their gunshots tore into homes and shops, leaving holes in walls and shattered doors. An elderly woman was reportedly hit by a stray bullet.

A community leader confirmed that at least 11 people were taken, seven of them from the same household. Those abducted include Talatu Kabiru, Magaji, Kande, Hadiza, Mariam, Saima, Habibat, Fatima Yusufu, Sarah Sunday (pregnant), Lami Fidelis (nursing mother) and Haja Na Allah. Spent AK-47 shells were found scattered across the community after the terrorists retreated into the surrounding forests.
The incident occurred just days after gunmen launched a deadly attack in nearby Eruku, where they invaded a meeting at a Christ Apostolic Church branch, killed three worshippers and kidnapped several others, including the pastor. Witnesses said the attackers opened fire the moment they arrived.
With two major assaults within days, fear has spread across the axis, and residents worry the attacks may be coordinated. Security agencies have yet to issue an official response.
